Lake Placid for breakfast is one of the best in the Minocqua area. From the Point ride south, much less traffic. For dinner go to Lake Tomahawk to a place called The Brick...a hidden jem with outstanding food!
If they are open - call ahead. We went there earlier this winter and they were closed.

Concur with Lake Placid Inn. Must try their home made bread for breakfast! Amazing! All of her food is homemade. I was there last weekend and had a fantastic breakfast.
Yes I forgot the brick in lake tom...short ride (If you want to ride to dinner) down the grade, good food. Does get... waits can be long. Monicals is our favorite pizza (very thin crust) on hwy 51 in arbor vitae (can take sleds there and park on arrowhead lake). The boat house (formerly Bosaki's) on Lake Minocqua has new owners and vastly improved food. We also go to Thirsty Whale for a sandwich. Depends how the wife is with riding. My wife does not really like riding at night very far.
