Our group is looking for a new area to check out. We are looking at the Hayward/Cable area. We typically rent a house, but any recommendations would be appreciated. Any specific areas or things we should know? Thank you in advance.

The Lakewoods is right in the middle of everything there. You can go in any direction from there.

Grand Pines on Round Lake would be another good option. Its about 15 minutes East of Hayward and provides you lots of options for food and drink. Hayward Powersports is also 10 minutes away in case you need any parts or rentals.

Lakewoods has lodge rooms, condos, cabins and house rentals. I prefer the lodge rooms that are in the same building as sauna, hot tub, pool, dining and BAR. Also they are very dog friendly, mine are very familiar with the place, including the bar

What type of group is making the trip? Couples, guys, younger or older? These details would help us all make a suggestion.

A few other options: Deerfoot or Pat's Landing on the Chippewa flowage. Four seasons on Lake namakagon in Cable.
