have it for the garmin 450 t found that if you turn it on automotive setting be on the trail and use location for the first point and zoom in and use the pin point for the second location once i got the hang of it

It's a pita. Go on their website and it tells you how. You have to set the destination and drag it. It works for crap IMO.

Use a gps to know where you are. Those snowmobile maps for a gps have their place but you can do more with a paper map and a gps without trail maps. Been down that road.

I have been using it for two seasons once you plan your day things just go much smoother with the routing I still buy maps my stops to support the trail systems but there is less wasted time at trail intersections just wait for the last guy to show up and go. If you use a gps to know where you are why wouldn't want the extra tool in the toolbox to make the trip easier and your day much more enjoyable.

Used it this past weekend and it worked great, Just put in the town and the GPS took us right there on the snowmobile trails. I to carry paper maps. There are times when we want to go a different way. The paper maps are great for that and for planning the trip. But I will never go with out my GPS. Use the best tool available.
