At this point looks like Redwing might get good dump of snow from this system.
Love riding that area. Hoping to get area conditions there from locals.

Hopefully fireman will respond---- I Love to ride from home to that area. Hay Creek for a buffalo burger and beer, and then south for awhile.

was just out with the boys. Took sakatah from Madison Lake to Waterville early season riding so some drifts but plenty of snow. The groomer is in ELysian and he should be out this week to Mankato and over to Faribault.

I believe the Dnr is not grooming the sakatahouse trail this year, rice county is grooming it to Waterville and Waseca county is grooming from Waterville to elysian and lesuer cty is grooming from elysian to Mankato I believe that is what I was told sounded like Waseca cty bought the groomer and equipment from dnr real cheap

I have been out riding and it wore me out. I would say 13-15”, very deep out there. I haven’t seen this much snow around here in a long time. It would be nice if it stayed the rest of the season. Hopefully the groomers will be out tomorrow. We have a meeting tomorrow night in Hay Creek so I will find out. By the way it is still snowing here as I type, crazy.

I wonder how far south the good snow totals go? e.g. Albert Lea or Owatonna
It is too bad the temps are rising back up. Friday is supposed to be in the 40's.

Yep, I just saw that as well. Owatonna is 3.5 hours from me. I wonder if it would be worth a trip this weekend... Does anyone know if the riding is decent in that area?

When we use to get snow we would ride Steele county once in a while it can be hit or miss with grooming when they have the snow,

Hearing lots of positive comments about riding in the Red Wing area. 4 hour drive is definitely do-able. Unfortunately, the temps later this week do not look good.

firefighter1 - I would love to come up & ride in your area this weekend. Do you think the trails can withstand the following forecasted temps -> Thursday 38, Friday 43 & Saturday 36? That is a pretty bad stretch & the sun is supposed to be out.

I’m also going out today, I also don’t think we will get full sun all three days so that should help. I have noticed they lowered temps for Thursday and Saturday a little so Friday will be the worst but I think we will survive. The club groomed more of our trails yesterday and Goodhue club also groomed so I’m heading that direction. I will report back later.
