Registering my sled in WI

So I live in MN, but my sled lives in WI. I thought I read that I could just register my sled in WI and then wouldn't have to do the trail sticker. Is this correct, and if so, how do I go about doing it.

Yes you can register it in WI.

You can dual register in both states Wi and MN just do it on line and have them mail it to your home address. Just to let you know that next year they going to make you join a club or you pay more.

I have 5 sleds registered in Wis. and live in Il. can be done online or at a DNR station.

Wi. Registration

When I did mine 6 years I had to go in to the DNR station because they
need proof that I paid tax when I bought them. 5.5% New or used. After that I could
renew online.

Two things you'll need to do legally is first pay the tax difference between the state you purchased and WI tax if it was a higher percent you owe nothing... Second is have yer sleds 10 consecutive days in WI...

I live in St. Paul, MN and just drove over to the dnr station in Baldwin WI, its about a half hour from hudson on highway 63 which is off of 94. Super easy, give em a call just to make sure you have everything coverd before you go

Did it online. Got a little hung up on the sales tax thing, so called the WI DNR and got it answered and done. Thanks for your replies.

What did you do for the sales tax question? The not so polite lady told me since I currently own the sled, to put $0 in that section

She told me to put $0 and pick the option that says that I paid the tax to the dealer. That's what I did.

Regestering my sled in Wisconsin

I am in Il went to the link above and did the registration . The tax thing I checked paid tax to dealer and in explination wrote I paid tax to the dealer in MI. Previously in the form it asked for the dealer name and I wrote don't remember because I dont. It took my responce
