Registration for the Ride In is OPEN!

I have set up the registration for the 2013 Snowfest Ride-In to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. If you find any bugs, let me know!

A quick note, the backcountry rides had to be suspended because of liability issues and also because some participants of the rides last year returned to areas they were told by the guides not to return to because the guides had special permission to use that land for the guided tours. I cannot allow the Ride-In to be an accessory to Trespassing. Sorry!

All the other fun of the event is still going on!

Looking forward to it John. "Nice Going" to the few that were asked to abide by a few basic rules, but couldn't help themselves!

What a bummer...but still planning on coming! Was really looking forward to the backcountry rides. My son and I are almost all trailriders and we needed someone to show us the ropes, but we know enough to follow the rules. I was even thinking of starting to look into a new track to help just for that event. Too bad as doospunk said, a few people can't abile by the rules and it screws it up for everyone.

Pretty sad that people have to screw things up,,its a real shame some think they can just go wherever they want and show no respect. It also takes a real tool to go where he has been told not to go.And this seems to get worse all the time. And it is just not snowmobile riders it happens with hunting, fishing and many other things.I have always said i would not rat someone out but my beliefs on that have changed in the last few years, the time has come for us to police some of this as it seems to be the only way to stop at least some of it.They have to pay the piper and the word gets out hopefully things will get better. One of the sad things is you get one stoped and it seems there is 2 or 3 more to take there place.

I probably will not be makeing the ride but will more than likely be sending another package for the cause. Thanks for what you do John

Thanks Linda.

Looks like it is at my end. I am working on it, but am kind of stumped. The paypal button created for the raffle tickets works, so I am a bit stumped. Any persons familiar with htm code wanting to help, all help will be appreciated!

Well, looks like I got it fixed. Give it a try Linda and let me know.

Again, my apologies for only allowing one person to register at a time, but the way Paypal has the form creation setup, it was either do one person at a time and end up with the correct name and shirt size associated with that person, or allow multiple person registration and then hope that names of those being registered and shirt sizes are given properly too. A bit more work for multiple person registrations, but a lot less headaches for everyone in the long run!

Good decision John, yes, it sucks for those who truely enjoyed & respected the experience of the backcountry rides. I have had the pleasure of taking a couple of groups at 2 of the Ride In's when John & Co. were short handed. I was concerned that this very thing would become an issue, especially with many carrying a GPS with them. As guides, we kindly asked that they turn them off if they were carrying them as many of the area's we were in were by permission of the land owner(s). All it takes is one bad apple to spoil the whole bunch.-Mezz

x2, Dave to has asked that GPS's be turned off, his places to need permission to ride, especially those featured on the Born To Ride DVD's . So sad to bad but we guides knew this was coming

Sounds like it is at your end now Linda. I just tried and was successful. Your browser may be bringing a cashed (saved) version of the registration page from yesterday when it was broke. You can right click on the link to take you to the registration page and choose to load the page in a new tab or window, then once that page has loaded in the separate tab or window, hold the shift key down and click on the reload button on your browser. That will force your browser to reload the latest version of that page.

If all of that does not work, then I really do not know what is going on, but since I can bring it up on two different browsers (Firefox and Google Chrome) here at my place, it sound like a setting in your browser is not set right.

Good to hear. I had to force a reload in my Firefox browser to get the updated code to show up and work. Glad that worked for you too.

See you there...If not sooner!

I wish I had a cash problem. ;) I'll step in for Nash and tell you it is cache..... LOL

When I went to the link on the main page it wouldn't work using Firefox. I had to right click on the 'Registration' link and open it in a new tab to make it work.
