i have had vipers in the past, and they are good, but i have stepped up to compustar which is a more costly one, but i can use my smartphone to start, set heated seats on/off, check indoor temp and several more features, but i have $900 into it on my denali pickup and it has a true 1 mile range with the lcd readout 2 way remote or i can start it with my phone on the other side of the planet, it freaked my neighbors out when they were watching our house when we were in mexico and i would start it up every couple of days when temps dropped below 10F

I have had Vipers for over ten years. Never a problem. Still have one and sold the other car. Just had one installed to my new, used car yesterday at Best Buy. model 4103V. Paid $383 after extra module added on (and crook county taxes). 3 hour install time. lifetime warranty came with it. The range is great, while walking the dog, hit the button two city blocks away and car was running when i got back.
