Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner will also take the adhesive off, I have used it many times. Will take tar of your car and not hurt the paint. I have also used it on my plastic windshield to get adhesive off from trail passes.

Goo Gone or WD-40, GG is easier to clean up from places you don't want it.

I agree, a similar product is "goof-off". Take off the majority with a hair dryer and plastic scraper then come back with Goof-off and take off the residue remnants.

Hopefully going to work on it this weekend, buddy is going to let me use his heated shop, however with snows here and more tonight roof of trailer going to be coated and don't want to make mess in his shop so may wait until next weekend, supposed to warm up to melt off. Have used goof off in past, just wish there was something more effective, not that im afraid of a little elbow grease, I just know this is going to be a royal pain in the ars. And from the sounds of thigs a hair drier will be sufficient enough to heat it so may not need to invest in heat gun. Again I thank everyone for their input!

Oven cleaner also works well. Had an old trailer with a bunch of stickers I had to remove and it was about the best thing I found.

Any penetrating oil spray works..... spray directly on decal let it sit and start to peel it off. It reactivates the glue on the decal.

Put a torpedo heater inside (not blowing directly on the wall ) and that way it heats the decals from the inside. Unless it's insulated...

a buddy of mine had suggested that as well but unfortunately they are insulated. Saturday is going to be the day finally, have a warm shop to put it in, will see how it goes, how many new words I come up with, going to try suggestions so hopefully will make the job easier

just wanted to let those who gave tips to know it is FINALLY happening this weekend, Trailer is in a heated shop warming up, have a hair dryer and heat gun and a supply of plastic razor blades. One of my customers is also a manufacturing chemist company and he over heard me talking about product and he said they make a product specifically for the sign industry for removing adhesive, $29 a gallon. I will be trying hints given by fellow sledders and hopefully find one that works really well as there are ALOT of decals to remove. I will be posting results, again I thank everyone and just wanted to let you know I will be trying all of your advice on Saturday and will post results, again THANK YOU!

Well.... project 95% done, decals I wanted off...off. Most helpful tool was heat, scrapers and plastic razor blades really no help except for small bits and pieces as far as adhesive goes, not so much. Tried wd-40, penetrating oil, goof off and that product I got from a local manufacturer which worked the best but took off paint, not directly but the more you wiped the thinner it got, needless to say majority of adhesive still on trailer as good part of day spent removing decals, was using a buddies heated shop and as day went on thirst set in along with hunger and to make a long story short ended up at local bar and there was no work getting done when we were done. I found no product (only tried 4 though) that worked really well at removing adhesive, I know this may be the lazy thing to do but will be calling to see if a new decal will adhere right over it or not. Those that have done it know but if you haven't, its no fun and a lot of work. If I wasn't advertising someone elses business I would have just left it. pictures hopefully to come
