Removing Drive Shaft 2007 crossfire 800

Having a hard time removing the drive shaft from the brake side. Can't get the shaft out from the bearings. Diamond drive is off and it's supposed to pull that way and drop out of the brake side. It's stuck pretty good. I tried pounding and heat.

Anyone have any tips to remove?

Thanks!

I have had a few of the drive shafts (no jackshaft with diamond drives) out of these machines. I found that if the shaft isn't perfectly straight it gets in a bind and won't come out. The weight of the track hanging on the shaft is enough to put it in a bind and keep you from sliding the shaft to the diamond drive side, providing you removed the nut for the brake disc and your not hanging up on the drive lugs inside the track.
