Remove pull starter, remove flywheel, remove bolts on stator and pick up coil. Carefully pull the wires and rubber grommet from the case. The connector may not fit through the hole, so you mught have to remove the pins from it. Make sure you draw it out and label the locations if you have to pull the pins. Stators can be re-bulit, or may ba available aftermarket, not sure on that yr. and model. OEM's are expensive, so do a web search for options.
