See if poo has a short block kit available. You can get Ski Doo OE short blocks, not sure about poo.

If the crank is bad and a cylnder and the rest of the mess. You will be better to bolt a diffrent motor in with labor and parts a diffrent motor will be cheaper. With a 11,000 miles your money was well spent

I just did a rechromed cylinder, one piston, all the rings and had the crank rebuilt on an 01 XC800. 4800 miles. That cost about $1,100.00 just for the parts. If you buy another used motor, I would tear it down just to make sure you know what you got. It's worth the $30 in gaskets just to make sure.

Better yet. If you dont have a ton of $ in the chassis with 11K, i would just sell the whole thing as is. I had a friend who just got $1,100 for the same sled with blown motor on e-bay.

X2 on that statement. A little investment here will really pay off in the long run. Not to mention even if you have to rebuild that is still a good price for everything you are getting with it. A lot easier to do it on a bench then in the sled anyways.
