Rev Broken Fuel Gauge

I have a 2005 Renegade and the fuel gauge hasnt worked since I bought it used. I know this is a common problem with early model Revs. Has anyone ever had this issue fixed at a shop and how much did it cost? Is it easy to fix on your own?

I would put an electric fuel gauge in it. It will be a more accurate.

I fixed mine twice and it seems to work for awhile and then back to the same ole not working again. I never thought of electric but that may be a thought.
