Looking at taking a quick trip Thursday 29th and Friday the 30th. Any updates on the Tuscobia from Rice Lake to Hayward flowage area? Guessing right now not the best... Thank you

I was there on the 24th, Before the rain. Its probably BAD now? It was fair at best. Some sections were thin. And where ATV's are allowed sermed they had pulled up rocks the size of softballs and a little bigger. Some trails off the tuscobia were not open yet. I wouldn't go back until more snow falls. There were certainly some pretty sections
Even though this pic shows complete snow cover, it was thin due to grooming. Spin your track, pulling up gravel. There were snirt sections and now I'd think there would be gravel areas.

Bring extra hi-fax, trails are rock hard from the rain we got, that is if your riding around Hayward.
The western sections of the Tuscobia were groomed yesterday (Birchwood to Radisson). It's in fair condition but rideable. However, trail 9 and trail 6 to get up to the Flowage are still closed for some reason.
All of Washburn county is listed as closed but it's snowing right now so hopefully that will change soon.

Hemi, keep me informed on the snow you receive in Hayward in this next storm. Thinking of making a day trip up later this week Thursday or Friday. Thanks

There has been people riding, not myself though. The storm keeps getting downgraded here, yesterday the weather channel was saying 10-16" and now it's down to 1-3".

Did you ever end up with any meaningful snow? Travel Wisconsin shows Sawyer county in good condition, is that accurate?

We got a whole 1" at best. I'm ready to get rid of the sled and get a RZR. At least I can use it 12 months out of the year.

Came back through this area this weekend on Sunday and I really don't think this area will hold on through the week for rideable conditions it was looking pretty thin but covered on Sunday. A week of above freezing will do a number

heading up Friday. Hoping to make a ride from Birchwood area to Cable and back. Online reports are favorable. Any other information is appreciated.
I rode that area last weekend. I put 500 miles on between the Tuscobia and just North of the Cable area. I was very happy with the riding and would easily say it was the best of the year. The lakes are definitely the best they have been all year (no longer a ice rink). As for the trails I would put them at an 8 out of 10. You might see some rocks here or there or a thin spot. But overall we had great riding and they picked up a inch or two since we left.

High of 40 for Friday and the weekend. Snow was melting today and it was only a high of 10. If your coming up get out early as I'm sure things will get ugly by Saturday night.
