We have a trip planned Thursday -Sunday to Houghton We were going to leave really early to get some miles on tomorrow. I never rode in the rain should we blow it off until Friday? Bring extra gear?

It's going to be warm enough that grooming will be impossible. Mush won't work through the drag. However your Fri, Sat, and Sun are the best bet days as it appears now.

I have been caught in rain a few times and it sucks. All your gear gets soaked after a while and takes a long time to dryout. If it was a just a chance for off and on showers i would maybe roll the dice, but if its going to be a soaking all day rain i would wait it out.

We did it the first week of January. Not fun. As a side note don't order a hot chocolate at the White House in Mohawk they'll bring you a cup of hot water and a packet of cocoa to mix yourself....LOL...

Largest moguls of the year with the warmth and non-grooming.

We're looking at the same thing but heading to Ontario, just over the border from the Sault. We rode about 150 miles in the rain a few years ago and don't want to do it again. That was hard rain though. We're going to delay until Friday after the rain. Heading to Ontario just over the border from the Sault. There, it's going to cool off quite a bit on Friday. I'm more concerned about the trails icing over at this point.

Very much so. I can't believe I got screwed like this! With all the snow, and somewhat wide spread over the upper midwest, I had thought it would be a late season for riding. The string of bad luck that started last spring for me, continues as it seems. ERrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Riding in the rain sucks. Absolutely nothing fun about it. Stay home and wait for it to be done.

Dont know if I would plan on riding in the rain but I've had a few great rides in the rain. Just got to take it for what its is and enjoy. You only live once.

Riding in the rain ain't that bad when we do it I take us deep into the woods so that the trees try to block most of the rain off Trail is pretty good in the rain too

Ridden both offtrail in the trees and trail riding in the rain. Offtrail in the trees wasnt bad at all as the trees blocked a lot. Trail riding sucked because you cant keep the goggles/shield clear, other than the visibility though it was fine.

Indy if we're going to ride the trails we all wipe our face Shields with Rain-X cloths try that it helps a lot I'm going to go to the Nano spray I need to try that on my shield in the rain
