gonna hit the snow probably for the last ride with all the work I got going on now. Me and a bud are planning to ride from Greenland and go somewhere, not sure yet but will have a blast like always. It will be logging roads and woods so if someone wants to head out with us you are welcome. Sorry I couldn't get a spring ride arranged because I just got back in town. Gonna be cold Fri night so probably head out mid Sat morning

Would be a 7 hour drive for me. Would it be worth it??

I really don't know, it depends on your expectations I suppose. The trails around here are basically shot. My plan is to ride logging roads, cook out, some woods riding,,no pressure to do miles, just get out and enjoy the snow. If the snow is the best in the woods then probably do more of that. I don't think it's gonna be hard to ride and have fun. The new snow we have received will still be here because it's cold!

guys, I just came in from scouting things out and I am having second thoughts. We have about 4-5" of new settles snow, probably actually snowed 7 or so,,,not sure though. The problem I see is it's just to cold. Everything is like concrete because the warm up saturated all the snow right to the bottom and now it rock solid with a little fresh on top. Water has flowed all over the place and melted he base right through crossing the trails and logging roads so we have ice base, grass with some fresh and constantly smacking the crap out of the machine, actually it's kinda treacherous. The woods are set up like concrete also. Calling for a low of 8 on Fri night and hourly showing 32 at 1 pm so it's not gonna soften up on sat and sun is rain. Truthfully, I don't think it's worth it. The best time to ride off trail is when it's soft so we don't kill ourselves and smash our sleds up so I really don't think it's gonna be any fun at all. Maybe the following weekend?

best example I can give you as to the conditions is like frozen rough trails and I hate that kind of riding!

even though there is a chance of rain on sun, the temps are much better

Was up last weekend in the Twin Lakes area and things were set-up like concrete. Did more trail riding than anything because couldn't get any lubrication off trail and was over heating even with scratchers down. Was thinking with 8" fresh snow that would make a big difference, but maybe not.
