Ripped off

I'm addressing this to the snowmobiler who found my black bag on the trail outside of trout lake in the up, then rifled through it, stole my tool kit and a quart of oil. Then proceeded to throw my bag back in the snow and drive away. Thankfully some honest folks found my bag and because my registration was in the bag were able to track me down. Thank you carl from bay city michigan for being a good guy.
As for the person that stole my tools, you are a piece of crap and a disgrace to the snowmobile community. Let me guess, you're in your late 20's , early 30's and have no respect for anyone else on the trail. You ride off trail where ever you feel like it, regardless of what the signs say. You ride the trails like you're the only one on them and have no regard for any ones safety.
I have some good advice for you pal..........stay home, we don't need your kind on our trails.

That sucks, and would anger me as well, but why so much hate? I have met pleanty of great people, and a number of a-holes while riding. I have found both types range widely in age, riding style, home state, and type of snowmobile.

I actually agree with Firecatguy.

Had my bag come loose and fall off on the way up to the Ride-In last year. EVERYTHING came out. Backtracked and found everything.

Mrsrunningbear won't let me use that bag anymore but that's how I the nickname Catastrophie Dave began.

Point is, don't assume the worst.

This bag has heavy duty zippers that were zipped shut, the tools were at the bottom of the bag, 4 bottles of water at the top. The water was still in there when the bag was returned. Amsoil, why?

Breeze,

No hate, just disgust. I'm tired of the 2% screwing up everything for the 98% of decent folks

Then why do you come on here and speak to the 98%? you know the 2% is not listening? Try hardcoresleeder, that's where those fools hang out.

you know what I hate am disgusted with........this is only the second thread that I have opened up today and it is the second one to be bashing the younger generation. You have no idea/way to prove who stole your tools or oil. But you come out of the gates swinging at the younger generation. Why? What gives?

Yes I fall into your age bashing category.

One of the problems in MN (MNUSA) is the lack of young snowmobilers........besides from the fact that this is a really expensive sport another reason some of the youth don't want to get involved is because people like you that jump to conclusion and like to put the blame on the youth.

I have never meet you and I am guessing I never will but take a deep breath and be grateful that you got some miles on. Maybe Indy can hook you with with some tools and oil from fleet farm.

How about the OLDER GENERATION start paying attention to your belongings or securing them properly to your sled etc. so you don't have to worry about the YOUNGER GENERATION stealing them when they fall off of your sled. How about growing up and being responsible for your own belongings? I am 41 years old myself so am in between but am rather tired of people blaming others for their own lack of responsibility, starting a post and calling others names like he or she is in grade school, etc. Man up, grow, up, whatever you need to do to be responsible for your own belongings. I do not see any of the younger generation's items falling off of their sleds and being stolen.....................

My 20 year old son found a wallet on the trail outside of the Beartrap with $185 in it and only he knew it. He turned it in and the owner thanked him by phone as he was already to Munising and we were in Melstrand. He could of kept it. I guess his mother and I did him right in the honesty dept. Suprised a groomer or local didn't get blamed for this one.
Now what did your rant get you here???? Did it fix anything?

3 paragraphs spent ranting on how angry you are, stereotyping who you assume took your things and being an internet tough guy and a mere 2 sentences thanking the person that went out of his way to get the bag back to you..............

Well stated!!! Sucks that someone may have gotten away with your stuff....but claiming it was a 20 or early 30s something is just wrong and distracts from your message....
