Anybody remember this place? It's been out of business for several years but today they are tearing the building down. I used to go there to check out new sleds when they came in but I would never buy there. The sales guys all had attitudes. Still, one less dealer in my neck of the woods.

They rebuilt the Hubcap store corner into a strip mall but I think the Uhaul is still there. I'm not sure on the value of the land--that's a confusing corner with the two separate turn lanes. Getting to that lot isn't easy.

Remember that Asian salesman that was there forever? He's married to a female cop I know. Small world.

Do you remember riding in the field at Rand and Golf? That's the first place I was ever on a sled.

just go up 12 a bit and go to RT12 rental. Great guys. They help support the trails by taking a map add every year for Mchenry Co. trail maps..

It kind of wrapped around the corner of a very busy intersection. Almost right next to the "first" McDonald's if you know where that is.

my dad bought me my first sled there in 1983...SS440. About 5 years ago I bought one for $800 and just finished having it restored to showing condition.

Bought my first sled there in 2000. Had never ridden anything faster than a 340 or Phazer. Walked in looking for a Phazer, walked out with a 1998 Vmax 700. Had no idea the power difference until i had the eye-opening experience of opening that up. Still have the sled, and just love the sound of that red-headed triple.

Did they ever sell Polaris out of there? My wife and I know we went there for something and she is thinking it was her 97 classic touring. I do not think is was that but something else.

When are you headed into town? Depending on the day and what's going on with my kids I'm game for sneaking in a few beers and cubs!

Yes they did sell Polaris. Traded a wrecked Phazer for a 2000 Indy 500 back in the day.

Many family weddings and parties at Elks club in that area. Enjoyed many burritos at el famous. That area has changed so much.
So happy I ran away to the UP.
