to me it's like getting on the track at a NASCAR race get on and get off as quick as you can but MAKE SURE you use your TURN SIGNALS to exit Got a lot of them here in Ohio and making more cheap way to clear the gridlock of long lines at lights . Got to keep the traffic flowing or you will get run over here THINK SNOW + ROCK + ROCK AND TOMATOES TO !!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

The only problem with them is not everyone will yield when they should and it can cause major confusion for the less experienced driver.
I hate the one at 26 mile n M53 my Vet is next to the McDonalds and getting there is such a pain in my A!!

I won't drive Farmington Rd no more stupid people don't no how to be respectful. Carole I give you credit putting up with it, I'll take 696 ;)

The one at 18 1/2 mile n M53 isn't that bad just traffic backs up due to Ford employees getting out the same time I'm coming home.

I have not read all of the above posts so it could be a repeat
I did see a story on the news in regards to round abouts. The guy being interviewed from the the DOT made a very good point by saying that you should not have any high speed side impact crashes which is what he said tends to cause the most deaths and injurys. and it also keeps traffic moving more consistantly. I agree they are a pain and when you have a Blue Hair in front of you they can never seem to understand the process.

I think the responses to this are hilarious. I mean seriously, you are on a "round about" for what, 5 seconds tops? At maybe 20mph TOPS?!?

They are still way faster crawling through them than having every car in a line 10 deep stopping and starting and stopping and starting with the "cross" traffic doing the same thing......You will all understand once you have one in your neighborhood.

Traffic FLOWS, not STOPS.

We have many here in De Pere, Wi. Started showing up in '01. They do keep traffic moving.
The problems are with the over aggressive/under patient drivers that barrel in like they own the street. But then you deal with those people everwhere; interstate, parking lots, etc. Then the intimidated elderly who are afraid to procede. The ones I listed first are the worst. You really have to read them, even if you are there first. They also don't care who arrived at the 4-way stop first either. As for accidents I've only seen a couple in 8 1/2 years. We will soon be seeing awhole bunch of them on Hwy 41 fron Oshkosh to Green Bay. Just about every on and off ramp will have them. Constuction till 2017
