X 2! Kathe, and I loved the place, not only stay, but enjoyed their posted reports on conditions, and other info!Always liked that place hope it is and does reopen
That's good to hearThat the Skyview near Presque Isle has been purchased. As soon as I can confirm I will post. Not sure if anyone else has heard anything?
We have never been able to figure out why somebody couldn't make that place go again? Man back in its day it was going place for lodging, drinks, and eats! Sad it had to finally end this way.I've heard similar things that rph130 mentions. Heard the bar/restaurant was in poor condition (water damage, etc) and likely would need to be razed. A prominent person that's very involved in Manitowish Waters may be purchasing.....
George Boswell's back in the area ??...lolA prominent person that's very involved in Manitowish Waters may be purchasing.....
Hmmmm, another restaurant/hotel for "her". Looks like "she" is starting a monopoly.I've heard similar things that rph130 mentions. The Wilderness, Chicago Pub, and good news on Shillelagh, which I hear received all of their lumber for the new building and a planned opening by St. Patricks Day.So many places in that area are no more.....Skyview, Carlin Lake Lodge, Bear Bar (Winchester), Headwaters (Winchester). All were great places.
I think "she" wants it for housing/apartments as you mentioned in earlier post.Hmmmm, another restaurant/hotel for "her". Looks like "she" is starting a monopoly.

Don’t recall the two headed calf but yes, it was a supper club with a good sized dining room, big circular bar and they had music on the weekends. Another stop that is gone.I forgot they had rooms, we stopped there for dinner back in early 90's, was the place that had stuffed 2 headed calf where you walked in right? was more like a supper club than a bar to me.
