Rust repair

My truck is beginning to show some rust in places. Mostly surface rust with some paint bubbling, no holes yet but I don't want it to get out of control. Im just trying to see if anyone has done there own repair work and what products/methods they may have used.

Only way to fix is with new body/or rust free panels. The rust comes from the inside.Pop one of the paint bubbles and you will find a pin hole sized spot. This is only going to get bigger and spread.Find replacement parts from Texas as they seem to be rust free.Got a pickup box for my 03 Dodge Dakota from there for $500.

I spray oil all over the rockers cab corners and door bottoms inside and out you should have plugs on the inside of your inner rocker panels pull and spray inside.

Have the same thing going on on the wife's car. I just wax the car, and then spray some fluid film over them. It has slowed it down.

i'm with indy on this one. Had a 02 chevy 1500 and since i bought it i took silicone spray and sprayed up in the door panels and in all the weep holes on the rockers. sold it last year and not a spot of rust on it. dont know if that was the reason but i think it helped.
