Man o h man why cant I get one of them in a sled? Was in south Florida for a week & my brother has 2 of them, well ones a rxt x. Let me tell you if you have never rode one of them, get out there & get on one. Why wont ski doo put one in a sled. Supercharged 260 hp now thats fun, my brother has a moudule that eliminates the top speed setting on it , along with aftermarket pipe on it. Now I go 270 #'s I had this thing at 83 mph (gps) smooth intercostal just before sunset. Unreal I never really thought much of them, sure I've ridden them every yr when we go to Fl & every now & then on lakes here in MN. But this has changed my mind, I might just have to go get one this summer.

the RXPX 260 should already have an update unless it's the 08-09 version (technically those were called 255). They are fast, we've got a 2010 and some mild tuning to get to 73-74 (69 is stock, and limited by the US coast Guard), I know what it takes to get to 83 and it's pretty close to 5-6K extra, not just a pipe, they are fast and fun, but like sleds can get real expensive real quick.
I too wondered why ski-doo won't supercharge a sled motor as they have been supercharging the ski motor's for 7-8 years, there must be a reason, cooling is probably a much bigger issue/concern on sleds, not really a problem on PWC's. How crappy would it be if you bought a sled like that, ran down 1 mile of snirt to get to the trail and it went boom?

Alwaysright, hmm thought that was my wifes name. Yea I dont know what it takes to get that kind of speed $ wise. It is a 2010 & let me assure you that $ is not an issue with my brother, he loves to go fast no matter the cost. My nephew, (his son) just turned 16 in Feb my brother gave him is old Mercedes CL 55 convert. that thing is supercharged & hauls the mail, 500 + hp on that one, only to be replaced by his newest ride Bently 2door convert. Packing 600 hp although a 5,000 # chassis this one will haul it also. I remember my first car was a 72 firebird formula, that you could see the road thru the floorboards.
I had no idea that they were supercharging ski motors for that long, never really payed attention to them i guess.
Hopefully when the "newest & baddest" comes out I can talk him out of the RXP X

I remember the 255 ( 2010's ) they were the chit back then. They also had some chips for those. There was a day when I had to have the latest/greatest ( back in the early/mid 90's ) I spent more money on toys than I should have... currently I just have a couple old stand-up's modded to all ****. I used to also carry a " couch " for a tow rescue boat. I wouldn't mind taking a spin on one of those new ones.... 65 to 80/85 on the water.... that is kicking arse !
