Ryder Cup in Minneapolis area for 2016; Anyone Going?

Well still waiting on snow, so thought I'd post about Golf :)

Pretty excited for this event, had a blast at the last one we attended in Illinois; looking forward to heading to Minneapolis next fall (interestingly enough, my first trip to Mn!) We got tix for a couple of the weekend matches, anyone else out there going?

I will try to go work there during it,as we will be hosting it in 2020,so its cool to help out and see how other courses prepare for big events

what is the draw? are there things/events/displays other than watching guys golf?
only a 20 min drive for me making sure I am not missing something .

I hope to go if I can find tickets. I'm hoping my employer may be a sponsor and have some available. I've been to enough PGA tour events, but the Ryder Cup is something special.

Ez.....this is the Super Bowl of golf!.....Europe vs USA.....& yes..only guys golfing(Lol), however, they're the best players in the world & playing in a team event...im a golf nut & can't wait!

I've heard that the golf course in chaska is gorgeous. Might try to snag some tix and get away from campus

you guys must not be golf fans in Minnesota if you can easily get Ryder cup tix. when majors come to Wisconsin they sell out years in advance and unless you score some corporate tix. your SOL.

Hey now we love our golf in MN! Lol....I never said that they would "easily" be available nor did I say what you would have to pay to get them......just simply what I stated previously & also they're all over Craigslist right now

if Happy and Barker are playing I am there .
to be fair I really am not a big fan of going to any games.
only time I go is if I have a invite to a box or the like so I can eat chitty food and drink for free.
much rather watch on tv . when I was young I liked the energy of the crowd now I cant stand going

Who said you could easily get tickets? Yep, only Wisconsin sells out events. LMAO! There was a lottery for tickets and many friends of mine tried, but no luck. I'm pretty sure they are sold out! LOL

The energy of the fans is awesome, it has this vibe that reminds me of a Formula 1 race or an international soccer game.....High energy and uber fun!
