Can someone tell me if Wisconsin DNR recognizes a Illinois snowmobile safety class? My son is 14 and he has to be 16 to take the Wisconsin online course.

I haven't looked it up in a couple of years, but when I last looked they did accept out of state snowmobile safety class certificates. You still need to follow WI rules as far as what/where a 14yo can ride.

We live in OH where there is no state snowmobile safety class. MI was the closest class so that's where we went. Sons rode (lawfully) in MI, WI, and MN.

Wisconsin will honor an Illinois safety certificate but it must be carried on the person or sled at all times.
