Sand to use for paver blocks.

I just finished my paver driveway, but now I need to put that sand down and sweep it into the cracks to hold it all together.
Is there a recommended sand to use, or will play sand work just as well?

IMO polymeric sand is the only way to go. But the from the looks of that photo, my other opinion is that any guy with a couple cars like that wouldn't be asking DIY questions on JD, but would rather be paying those of us reading JD to do the work for him.....

the sand is debatable .
have seen both work well as long as base was done correct and top sand was packed in not just swept in.
but if that is your drive the Mexican who set it already knows this

Don't use the Menards or Lowes Poly sand, Use a commercial product like Gator Polymeric. sweep, tamp, sweep, tamp, sweep, blow off without using the throttle, then wet lightly a few times without allowing to dry or puddle in-between.
