SART Now RSET Look Out Eagle River!

SART (Snowmonile Accident Reduction Team) is now named RSET (Recreation Safety Enforcement Team) will be a 4 man team plus local DNR wardens. No matter the name they are banned from the Minocqua area but will be in Eagle River week after the Derby. Their truck & trailer will be on the northside of Eagle River with emphasis at night on OWI. The difference between SART & RSET is RSET is supposed to have more focus regarding education than enforcement. We shall see..... no free rides so RSET has to pay for itself somewhat. Eagle River inviting them to their area is a risky move for snomo biz IMO. These dragnets never go well but I'm willing to give it a chance to see if they learned what not to do after Minocqua banned SART after Beelers said "I'm not coming back here ever again if SART is here". Anywho you now know they are out there.

If they get drunks off the trails, it's ok in my book. If they give me a $175 ticket for rolling a stop sign at midnight, I'll be pissed, but I'll learn.

Well they are telling everyone when & where they are & OWI is the focus. So you know they are going to ask people to blow & if you have been at the Frontier don't take 17 back to ER.lol

I guess the obvious statement is to say "ride sober and smart", and just save the suds for after the ride.

Ya riding & drinking is plain stupid but then there is the DNR accident report saying yada yada & alcohol may be involved & is under further investigation. Sad but true.

if your government is not looking out for you can you still take care of your self and make responsible decisions? more of my tax money pissed away on non essentials
