Saskatchewan Screamer

I tried to google John Chandick - saw a 70's ad for him out of Green Bay? And also HH's mention of him per this thread!

Tom Skilling is a WGN - Chicago meteorologist. He's a REAL meteorologist (like JD) and not a fluff puff who just reads the weather. He loves his job and it shows. We watch him at least once a day...sometimes twice!

But u didn't say what it is so what is it

Oh...THAT!! :)

Well, instead of an Alberta Clipper, the precipitation system with low pressure which comes on down into the lower 48 out of Saskatchewan. Skilling's quote was ""Such systems really move — or 'scream along' — thus the term Saskatchewan Screamer!" Something like that anyway. Know the "push" for this system is out of Saskatchewan and is gonna bring me some snow! :)

How about a strong northern system pushing downward colder than normal air that might leave a few feet of fresh snow with the help of open Lake Superior waters? Yep, I like my prediction better!

It was more like a whisper down here.

Right? Heard from folks who were downtown today that they had NOTHING by the lake. We got maybe 2" of, well, I don't KNOW what? I'd hate to call it snow and give snow a bad name...
