I want to know about locking the break also, Can it really cause damage to the rotor because I have always locked the break when hauling.

Why not compress

What's wrong with compressing the suspension? Done it for decades. Always had enclosed trailers. Tied down in front and strapped down tight in back with brakes on. Buddy driving hit black ice at 65ish and we went in backwards, thousands of $$ damage to tow vehicle, snapped off trailer tongue, and lots of trailer cosmetic damage, and 4 sleds, NOT a SCRATCH - 3 days we were still able to ride in the UP, priceless!!

Another friend in a 4 place enclosed never tied down, we met up with them in Canada. All excited to show off 3 new sleds (and 1 year old)-- Scratched hoods and broken tail lights. Guess he hit the brakes harder than he thought. Guys with him were just alittle upset, their sleds. He tied them down now.

And one more, friend picked up his new sled, had it all tied down, rolled the truck, trailer and sled in the ditch on the way home from the dealer. Totalled it all! Guess things can happen.

Like the last comment, things happen. I have a 2 place enclosed and never used to secure the rear ends until speed, slush, and wind sent the truck/trailer fishtailing. Pretty scary seeing the trailer next to you!! The sleds almost went out the side/rear of the trailer. Trailers not in new condition anymore. Still works great, but not the best looking. Aluminum doesn’t like to be banged on by a sled!! Never had any problems or situations before this, now they get strapped to the floor every trip.
