Seeing the film clips this morning really brought back memories of that day for me. RIP to all those who perished in this tragedy that day and afterwards. The event really brought together Americans for awhile, sadly it didn't last and here we are, with hatred at an all time high in our nation and the world for that matter.
Every day that I am alive and have the privledge to be an American I thank God for that. I am proud of the fact that most Americans (not all) really come together when people need it. Again, the people that died that day and thereafter are always in my thoughts and prayers as their loved ones have to relive that day every year. I was 43 years when this occurred and it really made me realize a lot about myself and my family at the moment. God Bless America, we need your prayers now more than ever.

Watched a documentary the other day and I apologize I do not remember the channel it was on but a film crew of 2 were filming a documentary of a rookie fire fighter and his journey from being the low guy on totem and only days into the filming 9/11 occurred, some extreme onsite filming, obviously a very pivotable time in US history but the thing that got me the most was when they were filming in the lobby with the NYFD command center and all of a sudden you could hear a crash and shattering of glass, then you would hear another and another and thats when they said they were bodies of people jumping from high above. I couldn't imagine being there, knowing and hearing that, I could only imagine how hard Thet would be to erase that from ones memories. They had also filmed the NYFD chaplain standing there alone and you could see that he was deep in prayer and only moments later fellow fire fighters carrying him out dead from a debris collapse. the other thing that was hard not to ignore was the calm, cool and collective demeanor of the command center and the unwavering willingness of the fire crews to go into the unknown and save as many people as they could, and yes...its their job but nothing could have ever prepared them for what they were encountering and IMO there is no amount of recognition that will ever encompass the amount of sacrifice and bravery that was displayed that day, and a day that we should NEVER FORGET!

Brian, they don't teach this in school anymore, they don't want to recognize the historical events unless they fit into their agenda. Fairfax County schools softened the events of this sad and historical day because they didn't want to upset the Muslims, there's no way I would send my kid to that school district. Makes my blood boil, but they are here and have infiltrated America and we let them in. I can only imagine the US in 10-20 years and it's not good. I hope I'm wrong.....
