Got to experience the father/son moment for the first time last Friday....

I'm really looking forward to that as well. My oldest is 7. My youngest is 3 and on a trip around the lake last weekend he reached up and grabbed the throttle. Should have seen the smile on my face after that! I've got them convinced that my sled will be theirs in a few years to the point that they'll go out a shine her up for me! :)

Thanks for this thread. Perhaps it is time this offseason for the moderators to re-organize the discussion board - add a new category for people pissed off at other riders, groomers, the sun, global warming and the jet stream. It would be nice to just have a board focused more on some of the positive things about snowmobiling again.

Great story Barleyboy, a mirror of my weekend, my son is also 12 and last weekend was our first ride and he to also did awesome and i could not be prouder. If we teach them to do it right the first time they will teach others to do it right all the time.

Simple rule when riding - keep to the right and respect others whether riding slowly or passing a slow group. Trail hogs come in both fast and slow species.
