Two weeks ago i let my mom borrow my wife's 2000 300m to go pick up our daughter from college for the weekend. My mom did not know about the autostick feature. All the way through town in low. Then up the on ramp to I39 in low. Low plus 67 mph equals one blown 3.5 in approximately 1.5 miles. :-( So Monday i picked my wife up a 2011 Chrysler 200 limited with 18k on it. :) Really was not ready to get a new/used car, but, sheeot happens!

Ok, so I will make your mom feel a little better... What's the "autostick feature"?

Too bad It didnt just need a new set of spark plugs eh?

Well I'm pretty sure your wife deserves a new AWESOME car for letting you be a part time husband in the winter!

Eight sleeps!

It's the most dumbest thing Chrysler ever thought of!
If you have a floor shifter you can ratchet the shifter to the left and right to manually shift through the gears to feel like ya have a sports car with out having to push in a clutch!
I have it on my Ram truck!
I use it all the time! NOT DUMB DUMB DUMB!

DOHHH!

That sucks Skylar, but what can you do. I bet the wife isn't too disappointed she got an upgrade out of the deal though!
Just out of curiosity, what actually let loose? The rev limiter should have saved it from floating the valves. Did it overheat? Spin a bearing? Score a piston?

back in 98 my wife took my 97 f150 from the cabin to meat me and some friends at the bar like 35 min away if driving 50
when she gets there se tells me she had if floored the whole way and it would not go over 25mph and when she let off is slowed down real fast.it is making a loud noise when she hits the gas
yeah I had it locked in low 4 to get in the driveway .
traded that one in just before warranty was up

I am not sure, the thing was probaby bouncing off the rev limiter the whole time. I was in the yoop when it happened, when i got the call about it, i then called tge fkat bed to get it. I sold it to the guy who works on our stuff when i am being lazy and dont want to fix it myself. I heard it run, sounds like its got 3 rods left lol.

John, what Scott said. I use my autostick alot in my intrepid :)

The new car has a 3.6 v6 with 283 hp, 6 speed auto with autostick, it hauls azz. :)

Scott, yes she deserves it. Part time husband in the winter lmao, i will have to tell her that one. Lol.

My buddy let his parents borrow his truck to tow a trailer to Alabama from Michigan had to use 4x4 to get the trailer out of the drive in Michigan, then left it locked in 4x4 all the way to Alabama and complained it turned real hard and made popping noise's when turning, needed all the front end replaced when they got down there.

My dear wife once vacuumed out our wood burning fireplace with central vacuum. Hot coal inside a central vacuum canister? Couple hundred dollars later, new filter and guts. My wife is so anal about cleaning she even cleans behind the wallpaper.

Sheeot happens for sure!

I traded my first wife in,sure there were a lot of up front cost/legal fee's ect... Did a lot of test riding after all that. Didn't get much sleep for a few years. The test rides seemed to help ease the pain. What was my point to this?
