Should be record snowfall this year.... Moved to Mexico

As the title says, there should be record snowfall this year in the midwest since I just relocated to Mexico for the next year and a half for work. Hopefully I will be able to put a few miles on during my Christmas vacation. I can however visit some snow almost year around up on the volcanoes. And for some odd reason the people down here don't seem to know what a snowmobile is.....

I am a mechanical engineer. I am at our production plant acting as the resident gringo from the engineering department in Michigan helping them root cause problems, implement changes, and whatever other miscellaneous stuff they come up with.

US company gone south with production. Lets all cheer. Makes me want to barf.

Well after seeing those union protected Chrysler employees last week drinking beer and smoking pot during there break, isn't it any wonder why management decides to move........ I'm proud to be part of the Chrysler "bailout" BARF.

No slam intended to you bedgar, just feel a need to vent with some facetious humor, though I did chuckle at your new title "Resident Gringo" from Michigan, here is a little help for your company:
root cause problem= Mexico,
Implement changes= Move operation back to U.S. & hire legal U.S. Citizens.
Yo Kado Taco Bell! OndaLay! Have fun in Me-He-Co, I feel sorry for ya man, my condolences.:(-Mezz

I like the idea of fixing things to the point where they need to shut it down and move it back....can you make that happen? If so, do it!

Ya, I heard if we get a bunch of snow it will add up after a while. Maybe we could turn this thread into funny/stupid thoughts about the weather.

my grandpa always says the bigger the accorns the more snow and the colder the winter. Last year i think like 50 accorns fell of the tree behind my house and they were tiny. This year there are about 50,000 you cant even see the grass and they are the biggest i have ever seen!

That was nice. We got one tire in the gravel, then veered right back on the road. And I was about to make a union crack.:)
In all seriousness, be careful. I work with Mexicans who are afraid to go home now.

I would love to talk to whichever accountant decided it would be cheaper to move our plant down here. They seemed to neglect how much we spend in quality issues and constant support from both the US and europe that we never had while in MI. But I must remember the decision to move our production operation came from across the pond. But on a better note, it looks like the weather is getting better at home dipping below freezing some nights and getting a layer of frost.
