Anyone have any experience or tips on shrink wrapping pleasure boats and pontoon boats?
Going to attempt to do both on the hoist. Video makes it look easy. Thanks in advance for any input.

I used to detail boats and shrinkwrap them a long time ago ,it is pretty simple...just use the right amount of heat (not too much) and it should be fine. Have buddy help with a pair of leather gloves. They sell this torch wand that works from a BBQ grill tank from Menards. Doubleback the wrap with some rope in at the bottem and then lightly torch, then you can pull it tightly if needed.

who has a line on a good price for shrink wrap film? I use a torch from harbor freight they are under 25bucks and have the lever to go from a small pilot light flame to full flame and you deff want that it blows doing it with a gun with just a on off or nob to control flame and buy the extension hoses like 2 or 3 best to not have to keep moving the tank.if no one has a line on shrink film any one in the west metro minnetonka area want to go in on some I usually buy 18x120 or 17 x110 so for around 130 bucks so I am good for 3 or 4 yrs but get sick of storing the stuff

Make sure that you tent it High and use enough straps/ropes so that it doesnt collapse mid season. Also make sure it is dry before you wrap it, prop open all the seats and compartments and vent it very well once it is wrapped so that you dont get mildew come spring. Take some of your wifes dryer sheets and put them all over through out the boat, that helps control mildew and makes it smell nice when you open it in the spring. I do this for a living so if you have anymore questions feel free to email me.
