Ski Alignment on Yamaha TSS

Hi, my daughter's 1991 Ovation has a darting issue which causes her to drive a little on the slow side. I took a quick look at it last time I was up north and didn't see a way to adjust the ski alignment. Heading up this weekend and wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the ski stance on a TSS Yamaha.

Thanks,

I think the tie rods are at the bottom of the belly pan on the inside. Been a real long time since I've seen the inside of one though.-Mezz

Before you do that I would check the limiter strap if equipped. Not sure about that year. Could be there is too much ski pressure vs track pressure causing the darting problem. Especially if she is on the lighter side. An easy way I used to check is have the sled on a clean cement floor have the rider sit on the sled and see if she can turn the handle bars (skis) easily. If she can then leave it alone and check alignment. If she can't then there is too much tension or down force caused by limiter on the skid. Loosen strap enough to have some slack maybe an inch side to side. Another way is you can improve darting is to release front ski spring tension by going to lightest setting on both if adjustable. Good luck ERM

matman, this is a TSS sled, Telescopic Strut Suspension, not coil over shocks. E R Mike, I forgot to suggest placing a long straight edge against the outer edge of the track (i.e. 8' 2x4) running it out to the ski, take a measurement off of the straight edge to the edge of the ski (forward most straight section & tail) to see if your towing in or out, repeat for other side, of course make sure the handle bars are facing straight.-Mezz
