Ski boose

Does anyone have any experience towing a trailer behind there sled. I rehabbed a 70’s era Bombardier Ski Boose and plan on using to go from Land o lakes to copper harbor this month . I’m wondering how it will handle. I’ll be riding a 2016 Arctic Cat Lynx. Any help is appreciated

You should be fine towing it. I would suggest some "hard weld" skags on the Ski Boose. This will help it track.

Haven't towed a ski boose but have towed an equinox snow coach. Not sure how your linking/hitching to your sled but bring a few pins/bolts if what using. Have actually broke the supplied hitch pin, now use grade 8 bolt with it and no issues since.

The only thing that may be a problem is the height difference. I wish I would have made the tow bar taller.

My past experience is that on many occasions it would flip over and slide on the top. Many of the times I didn't realize it either. If the trails are smooth it will be fine, but if not keep an eye on it.

You are right on target. Sleds today sit much higher at the rear of the tunnel/bumper area than the older 1970's/1980's sled did. Your Ski-Boose looks to be late 70's/80' era vintage. My suggestion would be to make the tongue/tow bar, adjustable as to the to hitch height so as the Ski-Boose says more level front to back. This is the way our Equinox snow coach is built. This makes it easy to use behind different snowmobiles, and it is much more stable when being towed at speed.

Been pulling Kat Kutters since the '70s. First with our kids, now with the grandkids. Once you get used to it, you might forget its back there. Keep an eye on it in your mirrors and you should be fine. If you intend on using it at night, I'd recommend hooking up a tail/brake light if it doesn't have one. Also I probably dont need to mention that if you have passengers in it, those leaf springs are brutal compared to your Lynx suspension. So watch the bumps or you'll lose your cargo.

I would take that out for a pre trip and ride it like you stole it , your going to be on ruff trails with everyone around you in a **** of a hurry I don't think it stay together if trail is ruff. , it better have stop and tail lite the snow dust north of twin lakes is tuff

Make sure to use ski spreaders to have the ski boose skis run in the same tracks as your towing sled, other wise it will sway at speeds above 30 from my experience. Also I made a drop hitch to have it level when pulling.
