Anybody want to enlighten me on this motor? I have looked at a few of these but I always worry about the motor blowing up and then dealing with a sled that needs a rebuild. Anybody want to chime in? Thanks!

Have had 2 of them and an SDI before that. Around 19,000 miles between the 3. The only issue was fouled a few pulgs. Great motors

Are you talking the new 600 85 HP EFI or the 600 etec 130 HP. Either one should be good, first hand experience with etec I’ve had 6 and no problems still have one with 13k.

I have the 2021 version (son does), MXZ Sport 600EFI. Put about 800 miles on it. Runs very well, starts good, efficient and will go about 80.......Not sure what you are getting at about a potential rebuild, but variations of these have been in the Ski Doo family forever. I had older EFI sleds, then evolved to SDI then Etec, and have had literally ZERO problems with any of them. Not a motor head, but assume engine has been somewhat redesgned and upgraded with modern and functional parts. To me, good value snowmobile.

I was impressed by what I saw on this mill so have one coming for 2022. It is an all new motor for them in that it is an efi but the lower end is the 600 etec and they just redesigned the upper end for fuel injection. 2 strokes always get the bad wrap of people worrying about longevity compared to 4 strokes but once they start letting computors run the motor vs carbs they seem to not only run better but last longer. Oh, and that mill in renegade 137 shoes comes in at 442 lbs.

Have a 2013 600 etech with just over 12k on it no motor issues. Just last year it became the guest/back up sled or pour conditions. I replaced it with a 2020 600 etech for the wife.
