Don't hear that too often, fouled plugs pretty much a thing of the past, 2 or 4 stroke
not really many have fogged a plug letting new motors idle too much when in break in mode and oil is running rich, less likely after break in for sure,

and well its not un heard of on 4 strokes either, when folks idle things for short periods of time and restart often!
read on some of the cat/Yamaha forums on this and will find many that have down it to, find out replacing plugs on them sucks! and NOT something many can do trail side!

I can see that, admittedly I don't put the miles on like some do but cant remember the last time I fouled a plug, and regardless of how many miles I do get of how well the sled is running they get a new set iridium plugs every year. and you are correct I don't know about 4 strokes but changing a set of plugs would suck out on the trail, not like the old days.

My 2011 Etec fouled a plug on the 2nd motor around 4000 miles, limped it back to the cabin, changed the plug and sled blew up on the next trip.

Yep I fouled a plug first ride last year. Must have been too much puttin around loading and unloading. Don’t forget to index the spark plug. It has to point at the injector. The dealer at Eagle River was sold out of them, so not a rare occurrence.
