Ski Doo or Klim Sno Cross Helmet

Trying to decide on a Sno Cross helmet.

Any reviews on the Ski Doo XP-R2, X-2 or X-3. What is the difference other than wieght? How do they compare to the 509, HJC, etc.. Anyone use the Ultimate Breath Guard? Does it work with any of the Ski Doo MX helmets? How about the Ski Doo goggles to go with the Ski Doo Helmets?

Any experiences with the Klim F4 helmet? Is it worth the money? The sales guy at the dealership said the Klim Helmet and Klim goggles fit like a glove together.

Any feedback is much appreciated or places where it has been discussed prior.

Thanks,

Bergy

Anyone? Feedback on the F4 or the Ski Doo products listed? Rumor that Klim was coming out with a new helmet? I can get a discount on the current model, is it worth it or is a Fly, HJC, 509 a better investment?

Look @ snowest for discussion on the klim goggles, most not so good. All the 509 stuff is awesome cant complain at all on any of my 509 gear, I only have there helmet & sinister goggles this is my first yr with 509 & am wondering why I did not purchase before. Gear like this actually needs to be tried on in front of mirrors, so you can see if there are fittment issues. I take everything outside (into the elements) & let it reach temp, now put it on & see if you have fogging issues.

Sort of depends on what features are most important to you. I don't have any personal experience with the Skidoo, Fly or 509 helmets, but have heard the Fly is a nice helmet and noticeably light. Have also had many HJC and found nothing wrong with them. Klim helmets selling point is its venting. It really does help. Does not stop all heat build up from your noggin, but I rarely have a wet head and that also cuts way down on any fogging with the goggles. So if you ride very aggressively and build up a lot of heat in your helmet (ie. take your helmet off and your head looks like a pot of boiling water), then it could be a good addition to your gear. In really cold weather riding, you can slip in the windstopper liner and wear a regular balaclava and are good to go.

I use the Klim helmet + 509 aviators and love the setup.

You cant go wrong with the Fly Helmet and 509 Goggle setup works very good... and when used with the Klim Arctic Balacalva keeps you warm on the coldest days.

I set my wife up with the Klim Helmet, Klim Goggles and Klim Arctic Balacalava this year as she has always used Polaris Cyclone and AF-2 Helmets, and she loves it, and thats a testiment in warmth if she can stay warm, and we rode in -10 last weekend.

I would at least get a light wieght Carbon Helmet and test fit the goggles first. I believe there are many combinations of helmets and goggles that work well together.

First year with a mx style helmet and I have the 509 with sinister goggles. Also purchased a Klim arctic balaclava and have had no problems so far, very warm and no fogging.

Motor fist helmet and 509 aviators or sinisters... I had the Klim f4 and it seemed very cold compared to motorfists helmet that and I also love the 509 carbon helmet that's what my uncle wears with Scott 89xi turbo flow goggles

Leaning towards the 509 since it seems like it will be the warmest of the MX style helmets. Now trying to decide on the Evolution vs. Carbon. Any feedback if the Carbon is worth the extra $$?

Also seems like the Sinister goggles are the best fit?

Thanks for any other insight.

on yr 3 with the klim F4 it still works none of the cheep snap on plastic around rear vents or around fr mouth vent.
509 sinisters fit well with the F4
I am getting the new motor fist helmet this yr at hay days
