Here's a pic of the pooch. She'll be much better off with Erik than she was out there

what's the story behind the "pooch"?

We were about 3-4 miles in, down in a ravine doing some hill climbing, when this pooch walks over the ridge, and down to us. She was super skinny, nothing but skin and bone, no tags, no collar, and very happy to see us. So we fed her some strudels, zipped her up in a jacket liner, and Eric set her in front of him on his sled, and we rode back to Krupps. Sandy and Deb made a bunch of phone calls in the area to see if anyone was missing a dog, and the humane shelter, and by the time we left on Sunday, no one had reported a missing dog, so Eric took her home with him.

I would bet it was someones bear hunting dog that got abandoned. When we went up for the trail brushing in lac labelle i n october we had a dog that looked exactly like that, very skinny and very happy to see us. We let him roam cause he had a radio collar on. But I swear it looks like the same dog. Skylar, did you guys find it north or south of the bridge? Im glad somone took it home either way.
