Sled gear sizing questions

All, hoping there is one you that is 6"3 and about 180 lbs?

I am tasked with buying boots, bibs, jacket and helmet for my buddy at the snowmobile show in Milwaukee. Boots no big deal, he's a size 10. I'm 5"10 220 and I'm an XL all day. Helmet I will get his measurement and should be OK there.

What would a guy 6'3, 180 34 waist and 42 chest be, L or XL?? He lives in Texas so kind of need to make sure I buy the right size!

Thanks in advance, hopefully there are some tall/skinny sledders here:)

Im 6'2 and 210. I wear a Klim Jacket thats an XL, fits really nice. I have Klim pants and purchased a Large Tall, could have just went with a regular large. I would always error on the larger size due to layering and such.

I'm usually the one helping all of my friends size their gear, with that said I'd be getting an XL jacket and Large Tall bibs for a guy that size. Helmets vary, but an XL is usually a safe bet. Also if he wears a size 10 shoe there's a chance you may want to look at a size 11 boot, varies between brands.

Klim sizes run snug my 6'5" bud was not fat about 210 and he was xl tall most brands but never sized Klim. We mixed up our doo jackets all the time since I have long arms. My experience Klim XL didn't fit me very well at 5'10" 210 too sung. FXR has lots of in between sizes so I would get his measurements and have him go online to verify. I'm thinking FXR, Klim, Motorfist are best choices but pricey. Then their is the protection vest to consider as well.

I'm 6 3 but haven't been 180 lbs since high school. I'd say grab anything in tall sizes if you can. I have a tall sized XL Polaris jacket and it fits great - nice to have the sleeves and the back a bit longer. I'm about 245 and have 2XL motorfist bibs. Would prefer to have a tall size but not bad. I'd imagine if your friend is 6'3" 180, then Tall XL would be perfect. Tall large might work too. Those are just two brands - others may fit different. I'd err on being a bit big over being a bit small.

Large/tall bibs,XLl jacket if he is wearing tec vest, otherwise large/tall jacket with no vest, that would be for Klim sizing.

You should ask around maybe you could find some used stuff. I myself have found that snow gear tends to shrink over the years especially in the mid section.
My guess is that there maybe someone in your area that may fit the sizing you need. Maybe you could come up with a loaner or used bibs and jacket.
I think the helmet thing with a breath box would be gross but bibs and jacket I don't think used would bother me in the least.

Just a thought you may end up with really nice gear for cheap especially if its just for one or two weekends Good luck.
