Sled Insurance?

The problem your running into is the majority of Insurance Co's haven't set up there computer i.t.systems to recognize the difference between a 2 stroke/4stroke.. Traditionally Insurance Companies had a premium threshold of 799 cc and under for standard pricing, and for a 800 cc and higher, you'd get surcharged... now with 4 strokes having cc's exceeding 800, the Insurance Co computers don't recognize the 2 stroke/4 stroke difference in power....we as sledder's know that a 1049cc 4stroke is equal to a 600cc 2stroke, but the Insurance Co's computer system doesn't, so you get a higher premium with a 4 stroke (unfair)......the man hours and cost far exceeds the demand to fix (not enough sled insurance business) so when your getting a higher cost for coverage on a four stroke, this is why....I have 1st hand knowledge.

That's it.

State Farm for me. I know I pay a little more but I had one claim and the agent came to my house to drop check off the day after mechanic totaled sled out. No hassle, no problems, check was for fair market price and I did basically zero work for the claim.
