sled lift

I just bought a sled lift, The directions say you can turn the jack with a drill to raise it up but the end of the jack just has a loop for the crank. Does anyone know how you use a drill on it? Is there an attachment to buy for the drill?..thanks

You have to cut off the handle...... then the best thing to do is grid down the round end to have flat sides so your drill chuck can grab it better. It's a must do. Manual cranking sucks.....

If its a loop you can just use a threaded J hook from the hardware store... Insert it in the chuck of a cordless drill on low speed and the loop the J hook in the hoop...

thanks all, the "J" hook sounds like the answer I was looking for, I did not know they were available to go in a drill.

I use a impact gun, I have a corded Dewalt Hammer drill 1/2" chuck that couldn't cut it . Here is my picture of my set up for the shaft end. If you take yours apart I would suggest putting in a " GOOD " thrust bearing . Most lifts I have seen have the screw mechanism made in China and if that is the case the clearances are wrong and the T-bearing is cheap and and wont last long. That's how mine was. Just a thought.

mine advises AGAINST impacts

by the way, mine is a 1/2" square
I use HD drill with side handle, saves the
wrist but not that bad with manuel handle
