Sled Ran With Choke Half On

My neighbor ran his sled last night with the choke 1/2 on and it only made it a few hundred yards and stopped and we couldn't get it started. The engines not seized and today it runs for a few seconds and then quits.

Any ideas on what he did to it and what to do to get it running again?

Thanks - Skutr

I trust you changed the plugs? I would not start it just to let it idle, you'll foul the plugs again cause I am guessing your crank may have a little extra fuel sitting in there.

I would bet the farm your jets are plugged and need a good cleaning.
the reason it was running with choke 1/2 on is less air to go with the less fuel.
then some of the crud from the bowls broke loose and got sucked in to the already restricted pilots.
pull carbs take jets out let them soak in the bowls with some amsoil power foam over night then re power foam clean out bowls use air compressor blow out jets.
bet she runs like a top after

Yep... bet my farm too. Time to pull the carbs, also lvr1000 had a good point, want to check the bottom of the case, probably filled with fuel..... ( bad ).

Pull the plugs then pull the cord if gas comes out gas in crank case so empty out. Then pull carbs & clean as ezra posted should run good.
