sled score of my lifetime

For selling sled stories, in January 2008 I sold my 1988 Wildcat 650 for $1000.00. This sled had 10,000+ miles on it. The fellow who bought it put another 1000 miles on it in short order last winter. To sell this sled was like saying goodbye to an old friend forever. It was however money towards the 2006 F6 that replaced it. I gotta think both of us got our monies worth.

Pirate I am glad you are Happy! Bronson Auction sells them all day long. MPease I have sleds for sale and I take credit cards. $$$ Polaris sleds in the 2002 to 2005 are a dime a dozen. Triumph and any 550 fan I will give you $100 and you can keep the motor. If it is Polaris talk to me.

There's a reason they are at the auction, so don't even go there! Any decent sled like the one pirate is talking about would never end up at an auction. Let me know how many 2002 ProX 600's with that many miles and in that condition you have for $850 and I'll pay CASH for every single one! No credit card charges for you, so you can make even more $ since you can buy them for a dime a dozen. They may be a dime a dozen if they are ready to be parted out, which is what it sounds like you purchase sleds for.

Give us some examples of the Polaris sleds you have for sale, including mileage, condition and price.

I just went to Bronson's website and checked their sales results from the past 4 auctions and I don't see the dime a dozen deals you are talking about. I can only imagine the condition of some of these sleds too. Would anyone on this site sell their clean, low mileage machine at an auction? They had a 2004 Polaris 120, yes 120, that sold for $1,350!

polarisrider1,

I just checked under Polaris snowmobiles for sale on this site and didn't see a single one you have for sale listed on here. Why is that?

So when are we actually going to find out the sale of the century price? Or do you think you maybe didn't get as great of a deal as you thought. I'm not a Polaris fan so it would have had to be really cheep for me. I'm not bashing or saying anything bad about polaris, just saying they aren't for me. To each his own.

Trailing arm 600, sit in- not rider forward. :>(

Blew off rider with ProX 800 with my Attack until he blew chain case on trail. He was all over the sled trying to keep up. Thew Pro X800 in truck went to Pat's traded in & rider bought used Attack off the lot & proceeded riding with his buds. This guy couldn't believe how old I was when he met me at Pat's. I told him well you could have just let me pass instead of pushing youself so hard. He laughed said he wanted Attack anyway. I'm glad pirate likes sled but very old tech to me & would not be interested at any price. Just my opinion.

Hey pirate what a happens after 80mph? With race gearing you can't have it both ways high & low. Snowcross race sled has no need to exceed 80 mph. I'm betting the power curve will drop like a rock after 80 if geared for the race track.

Hey whitedust, Maybe not all of can afford to buy the latest and greatest sleds out there. So what if there a few years old. I enjoy riding my old 2003 600 Classic.

This thread has gone stupid real fast. Have fun with your sled Pirate. You got it for less than the $1850 I would of paid. Personally I don't trust anyone selling a low mileage sled with a ton of mods to it. First question is why try to make a 600 run like a 800? Just buy the 800. But again the neighbor could of been in a mid-life crisis. What matters is you got a nice sled at a nice price. Don't do like your neighbor get out and ride the thing.
