Anyone have any experience with slp powder pro skis? I am wanting wider skis for my 11 switchback assault. Can get the package skis mounts loops and 6 inch carbides for 311 dollars. Thanks for feedback

Have put Powder Pros on my last four sleds. I like them a lot. Much better off trail than stock skis and handle trail riding very well also. There are many good aftermarket skis out there and I am sure this thread will turn into everyone telling you what their favorites are and what you should buy. To directly answer your question, I have run Powder Pros for probably the past 6 or 7 years and continue to run them because they improve the sled.

I have had them on a couple sleds and they are nice. If you are mainly using them on trail the slp straight line tracking are pretty good as well. the power pros are definitely better in loose snow. check out snowest.com, i found a pair on there for my current mountain sled for $160 complete.

Best thing I did to my crossfire. A world of difference both on and off trail!! I don't think I will ever own another sled without putting powder pro's on it.

Thanks for the input. Even at 300$ for everything, it still seems like a good deal when you look at other after market skis. Think Snow! !

I have an '05 M7 and ride strictly off trail.
Powder Pros's much better than stock for turning and carving in powder.
Slydog Powder Hounds.............Even Better.

for the M sly dogs are the way to go but on the pro could not say I do know stockers usually bring in 125 if nice so then your slp are only 175

I had Slydog Powder Hounds on several M sleds and will never go back. Great ski but don't bend it too far up or down or you'll lose the rubber thing between the ski and the spindle.

Saying that, I have Powder Pros. Great skis but they are a lot harder to turn. Like someone said, great in powdery snow.

Had Powder Pros on my Edge chassis sleds and loved them. I have not tried them on an IQ or the RMKPro since the stock gripper skis work very well also (and I own the grippers already) I would switch to Powder pros for off trail riding if you need new skis for off trail.

Not sure about the RMKPro, but the stuff that comes with the I.Q. are pure junk.

The single best thing you can do to your Polaris is to switch out the skis. It isn't cheap but like EZ says, take them off new and sell them and off-set the cost..then it isn't all that bad.

I use powder pros and they are nice, but I think there are others that probably will do just as good if not better depending upon what you do with your sled.

I don't know WHY Polaris sort of gives up on the skiis when they are so important in the overall handling, but they have done that for years.

I suspect you are referring to the Poo sidehillers, those were a bad idea. The gripper skis are similar to the powder pros in keel design but stiffer less slippery plastic than the PP skis. I like Powder Pros more than grippers but not enough to spend the coin.

I put Powder Pro's on my 10 M8 this year. I rode the first day with the stock skis and the rest of the trip with PP's. The Powder Pros were a huge improvement off trail and cut my doghnuts down a few feet in size. They turn a LOT sharper in the powder - it will really surprise you at first. On the trail they feel tippier and I had to slow down in the corners a bit more to compensate. Overall I'm happy with them and like them better than the Slydogs that I have on the 07 M8 - but just because they turn sharper in the loose snow under less throttle.
