Smart Phone Trail Maps

Anybody know of any good GPS trail map Apps for Android smart phones?? Pros and Cons of some that anyone have tried? Thanks!

Just got this email today

works well and updates itself. I use it for reference when I forget my GPS with the trails on it. I use it mainly to see how far from a trail I have ventured.

Works for even the Poo bashers.

You have to have reception for the phone app to work. That can be sketchy in the UP in the boonies. Better to get a gps and snowmobile trail maps. I like Red Pine Mapping.

You must have missed this feature....

- automatic map caching so maps can still be viewed while on the trail and outside of data coverage areas*

I was one of the "early adopters" of the Polaris app and found it has little value as it does not allow you to set waypoints. So, as an example, you can't be at Krupps and set a waypoint for Lac La Belle and tell it to go. Once you get there you can set your location as a waypoint, but that's kinda silly since you are already there.
The Polaris app is about the same as a paper map, and the paper map is easier to use.

And to answer your question exactly, I have found no Android snowmobile trail apps other than Polaris.

A good phone + Polaris map is AMAZING. My riding partner and I stop every 25+ miles and check it.

no...it's the snowmobile trails I have loaded in Locus Pro.
