works well and updates itself. I use it for reference when I forget my GPS with the trails on it. I use it mainly to see how far from a trail I have ventured.http://www.polaris.com/en-us/snowmo...11-8240-0050569A00BB&WT.mc_ev=email&WT.mc_id=
Just got this email today
You have to have reception for the phone app to work. That can be sketchy in the UP in the boonies. Better to get a gps and snowmobile trail maps. I like Red Pine Mapping.
I was one of the "early adopters" of the Polaris app and found it has little value as it does not allow you to set waypoints. So, as an example, you can't be at Krupps and set a waypoint for Lac La Belle and tell it to go. Once you get there you can set your location as a waypoint, but that's kinda silly since you are already there.
The Polaris app is about the same as a paper map, and the paper map is easier to use.
And to answer your question exactly, I have found no Android snowmobile trail apps other than Polaris.
I plan to be over in your neck of the woods this coming July, maybe you can walk down to the marina and show me how to set way points on my Ratheon GPS. lol
It's amazing what can happen with beer!
