Anybody catch the article about Jackson county, only they kept calling Jackson county Lincoln county! Just a little embarrassing I would say! But was excited too read about an area close to home!
Yep, at least, caught the article, however, did not catch the error, simply because I am not familiar with the area. Time for a letter to the Editor, I am sure they will make a correction in the next edition.-Mezz
That is what I thought at the beginning, but didn't see any reference to Jackson county. Even in the glossary it mentions Lincoln. Oh well, maybe it will help keep the secret that the trails are well kept in Jackson!
How far of a ride would it be from Genoa to that area? (Dam 9)
For the past 4 years I've missed rideable snow every trip, and was stuck sitting on a bucket on the river.
Looks like it would be more then one days ride from there. If you wanted to ride the area anyway. Not familiar with trails south of 90. You could drop off in millston if you wanted to trailer.
While reading, I was utterly confused. I "thought" they had them mixed up but didn't know for sure and didn't feel like googling it to see whether or not they were wrong. Now that you pointed it out, I can't believe they made such a huge mistake LOL
From Genoa to Jackson county is not that far and could be done in a good day. From Genoa ride to Chaseburg or Stoddard and then catch the trail into LaCrosse County, then north to Four Corners and then either head for Melrose or Cataract to catch Jackson county trails.
Be warned, from Genoa to LaCrosse county will be the longest jump as the trails wind back and forth through hill country, and also from Cataract to Millston is another long run (seems that way to me)
I live in LaCrosse county and have a nice spot where I can slide out to catch nice trails all the way around me.
