Hello,
I pre-built a 2020 850 137 Poo XC to see what it is like and was surprised you have to pay an extra $199 for painted rails, $199 for painted tunnel and $425 for electric start for a total of $14,729; I about laughed my *** off.
All of this is standard (granted Poo has better shocks) on a Renegade Adrenaline for $12,999.

What gives?

Yeah, but you really want that 850 Poo, don't you? You're supposed to anyway, as they, (Poo) think you do? My best Poo riding bud says Poo needs the better shocks set up on their new skid to ride with a regular shocked Doo R motion skid. Idk?

I didn't know Doo gives you color choices like Poo does....do they? or are you reaching?
I'm personally not worried about colors but from what I read on the www, many are and the combinations are quite extensive in that you can really create your "own thing"
I think it sets Poo apart from the other mannies where you are stuck with the factory combos......Did Doo get down to the Home Depot and get set up with LED lights yet?

Don't poke the bear, Bear.

Harvest Rob just texted me a pic of 12W somewhere near St. Germain and he says trails are a 10 today.

R-Motion skid supposedly better but the non-adjustable remote reservoir option would be nice on a bumpy day.
Doo light is sad though, tons of comments everywhere on this. Those Crazy Canadians are incorrigible.

How much does Ski Doo charge to change from their standard colors? Oh wait...You cant change their standard colors...

I guess to keep folks like you from complaining Polaris should just make you buy the color THEY decide to sell- Like Doo does..

Ahem!
I hoped I wouldn't have to say this out loud but Poo offers the color choices to generate additional income from the sucker customers; $398 to paint the rails and tunnel; hilarious.

Actually, I give' em respect from a business person perspective; not from a customer's though.

Are all of the vehicles you drive base, option-less vehicles?

Some sledders be like...

"Dude... who are these weirdos who want their sled to look a certain way?"

Meanwhile, in other areas of their life...

"Check out my brodozer with 35's and stacks."
"You like all the chrome and leather dingleberries on my Harley?"
"Really like the colors I chose for my house repaint."

...and so on and so forth.

Smartypants types call this behavioral phenomenon "cognitive dissonance".

If im paying over $10,000 for a sled it better be the EXACT colors i want. Typically polaris' snowchecks are $1500-$2500 off msrp from most dealers. Skidoos arent even close to that so in all reality they probably cost the same, and you can choose from like 10 colors and you can change the rail and tunnel color too amongst many other customizable options... seems like a much better deal than the Doo this is what we got this is what you get package.

I do believe it generates additional revenue, however being a “custom” sled builder adds a considerable amount to production costs. The easiest/cheapest from a supplier / purchasing standpoint is a cookie cutter sled.

Ordering parts in a variety of different colors adds complexity and coordination = extra costs

Polaris is doing exactly what their customers want (Doo folks too)...and if you want the cookie cutter sled at the lower price you can still buy that...

Not sure why a Doo guy would even bring up all of the choices that Poo delivers in Snocheck. Poo is way ahead of the rest....must be the LED beam.

The 137 Indy 850 looks to be the 1 that keeps the big Poo MO moving to #1....so many choices to make it yur own....or buy a Duck...its up to youse.

Just like Ski Doo makes their "sucker customers" pay extra for an LED light? LOL

I’ve had the new Doo and Polaris, I really like the riding position of the Polaris Axys chassis better. It is a great ride and more of the moto cross feel which I like.

That is an interesting point and I agree if the rider is under 6 ft. ish.
Earlier in the year I had an 18 Axys and my knees kept hitting the cowl to the point it was annoying, the 19 Doo G-4 doesn't do that to me and I am 6'2 and fat.
For me, the seat on the Axys was more comfortable on a long riding day but the G-4 seat allows the rider to lean right and left without having to lift their butt off the seat to transfer their weight.

I say this to myself on all the products I own, "if a company would listen to their customers more they could build the best of breed and dominate".

So now on top of COLOR options to separate the two big dogs, mfg'rs have to make sleds for the extra FAT/OBESE, just like 1XL, 2XL, 3XL clothes?
Some of youse guys should push away from the buffet table after 30 min instead of an hour, or heaven forbid, hit the gym.
