2" in Park Ridge, IL. We missed the 3"per hour and 12-18" totals and lake effect the forecasters panicked everyone about yesterday, including me. I guess higher amounts near Lake Michigan but nowhere near what they predicted. Good thing is that it forced me to prep and start snowblower yesterday.

Northwest Indiana got hammered with LES Sunday night through 2:00 pm on Monday that came in two waves. About 15" total at my house in Hobart, IN. First time in about 25 years that the "forecasters" got snowfall correct. It will disappear quickly with highs in the 50's today and tomorrow and mid 60's on Saturday.

Saw a report last night stating UP and the northwoods could get 250-350". The report took in 7 years [back to 1989] where the atmosphere is similar to what is going on today. This was considering heavy lake effect. Also colder than average as well. Obviously, I'll believe it when I see it. Since living in St Germain since October '13, it seems the LES line is about 3-5 miles north of me.
