I have heard rumors of Doo's coming in this way, it just makes no sense! I would be livid if the companies I represent were sending me product that was incomplete, here's what you ordered we'll let you know when the rest of it comes in. I would EXPLODE as the dealer and the customer. none of this makes any sense, then to track what is needed by these dealers to complete product, make sure they get it, must be a logistical nightmare on both ends. Either I'm a complete idiot or none of this makes sense. What I dont understand is when you as a consumer or a dealer place an order especially preseason orders you are esentially signing a "contract" that acknowledges the order, has pricing and delivery requirements, for dealers the dating and financing terms and minimum order requirements based on goals. now flip the table as a consumer or dealer you breach this order/contract there are ramifications but when manufacturers do the same we are expected to look the other way and deal with it. Sending incomplete product is the stupidest thing I have ever heard, makes no sense. Sorry for rant, maybe should have been on Barstool. I understand the world is "broken" right now but the double standard is getting to be sickening.

Ya I can’t imagine this ending well new sleds without parts and shipping to dealers to track missing parts the OEM can’t track. This doesn’t makes any sense and NOT what the consumer ordered. I think I would bail wait until supply chain settles down no warm fuzzies for me.

Brian, I understand your rant, when it come to the bottom of any chain the bottom is the worst place to be. Have a friend that owns a small business and has to wait quite often for his customers to pay him even though he his to pay his workers and suppliers. As for skidoo they were shipping complete sled minus instrument cluster and possibly ecu because of the whole chip issue. They figured it was easier to ship small parts rather than entire sled in a hurry. My reason for asking in other post is haven’t herd Doo having spindle shortage.

Jim, we are also having payment issues this year, you can put the blame on me too but what it has done is forced us to have a very strict open account policy with enforcement, instead of the gentleman agreement or the assumption we will be paid ( where our fault lies ) unfortunately I fear it will cost us some customers, but we are not a bank and during these times we cannot afford to be as I'm sure your friend has same sentiment.

Ya it sucks that as a product moves down the food chain the profit margin gets smaller but yet the customer service has to go up or the small business owner gets it in the shorts.

Some people are getting 100% complete sleds from Doo too. Hard to figure out who gets a partial sled and who gets a complete sled.

Pretty simple to me. Don't give them any money unless the sled is 100 percent ready to go. You ordered a sled. Not a half finished useless piece of junk. It makes absolutely no difference who or what is to blame.

It makes sense from a shipping standpoint. Much easier to ship parts than a whole unit when talking snowmobiles. If doo sold 25,000 new sleds and assuming you can get 30 crates per truck, that's 833 trucks. That takes some time, much easier to ship incomplete then ups, fed ex, speed dee small parts later. If missing parts are outsourced they could be shipped direct from origin, and bypass valcourt. Sucks but the only way in this climate. Hopefully brp does the right thing and will postpone payment till sled is complete.

my 850 gade should be available end of next week. Dealer said that the Doos shipped after Dec 1st should be complete upon arrival.
