Hmmmm, I thought you were in line waiting for the "All new AC/Yami", eh?
Sadly, a few guys who work for A/C say the company "may" be for sale by Textron soon.
They don't like working for Textron as it went from a family style business to a margins and mergers focused operation..which brought morale down substantially.

Burn and turn baby.

Who would want AC? Surely not Yamaha that ship sailed years ago. Now with electric on the horizon AC is even less attractive. Idk why Textron bought AC in the first place other than dirt products but still a bad acquisition overall. AC employees should be happy they were acquired a bankrupt company is no picnic either.

Me too but not many companies willing to buy AC if on the market. Yamaha only wanted snow division but couldn’t come to an agreement with Textron mainly due to low ball offers. If Textron is done with all of AC both AC and Yamaha snowmobiles are in trouble. It would be terrible to lose both brands but electric is a HUGE threat to small market share gas sleds manufacturing. Who would want it knowing what’s coming?

Yeah, well, pretty much so fuji, sad. But I see the failures of AC, and Yami, seperately, or as joint ventures, a overall bad deal for all of us "bilers". It's a industry, sport in a slow death? Yamaha is absolutely cooked without AC. No way around that. Perhaps there just wasn't enough "numbers", sled sales to make Textron believe it was a viable venue, eh? Times change.

doom and gloom that was all we heard when word was out that AC was at their end, rumor after rumor after rumor but they are still here. MAybe Textron not cut out to be a snowmobile manufacturer or maybe they brought too many of the old crew that drove AC to the takeover in the first place. I'm not going to name names but one of the other big manufacturers cleaned house and one of the big players in my industry picked up a bunch of them and let me tell you about the stupid decision making that is being made. Having said that no one thought they would continue at all, doom and gloom and rumor mills can hurt and kill businesses both big and small and whether you like them or not competitionis always a good thing for new products, ideas or innovation. If AC goes will we see Yami develop their own product? highly unlikely IMO will someone pick up CAT? Highly unlikely IMO. Think about it though, we will be left with 2 manufacturers, that would be a very bad thing for again...new products, ideas and innovation not to mention PRICE. Competition is always a good thing and losing it would not be good with there only being so many choices that we have now. It would also affect the aftermarket side of the business as well. But just like everything else you have your Doo, Pol, Yami and Cat guys and you can talk until you are blue in the face and you can't change one's opinion. I for one hope we are NOT heading towards an industry with only 2 choices what fun is that? IMO

I’m a 4 stoker been on 4s since 2007. Bye bye AC and Yamaha and for me there is only 1 Oem to consider and that’s Doo. Polaris refuses to re enter the 4s snowmobile market probably never will again unfortunately. 😒 Its been a sad sad situation for AC and Yamaha for a very long time.

IMO, Yamaha, and AC, being dishonest, and not up front, and honest with us over the past years, was their own undoing!

Pol handlebar assembly farmed out to a small company located in in my town. They can't build them because they can't get parts. They have 900 to build.....

There is a severe labor shortage in this area. Pol dragging people from the deep south and basically all over the world trying to keep the line going. AC/Yami in TRF competing with DigiKey for bodies. There is simply nobody to work. Combine that with supply line issues and it is no surprise new sleds are not being built. Textron could not have picked a worse time to buy a factory in NW MN. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if they baled.

That is my story as well. Sold 2019 MXZX600r and have nothing now!!
Talk to my dealer yesterday they knew absolutely nothing besides it not coming on there next shipment. The not knowing when you may get your sled is very frustrating. They told me I can get my deposit back so I am going to look for a sled if I see something I like I may just buy it. I may try a Polaris 650 if I find one,but that's the hard part finding one.
